@admin

Definitely seems to be a nice movie. But have couple of points to be clarified

1. The review says that all rituals are done to only increase SAL energy. I assume this is referring to AWARENESS.

2. The review says the character didn't take help from others because it will only help the donor but not him. Isn't not selfish to think like that.How can AWARENESS increase if the character has selfish thinking that the benefit of doing a ritual should be only to the performer. Is the rituals are done for only the individual or for the wholeness?

3. Planting a new jack fruit sapling can be seen as, the character realized the truth that he can't be selfish. He should be like the tree, which gives, shadow, firewood, fruits but it doesn't consume none of them, all the consumption are done by others except the tree.

That is the realization which should be got by doing a ritual, that all the benefits which is suppose to be reaped by performing a ritual should be given out instead of keeping within oneself. This is the realization which he might have got through Haj journey, but instead of physically going to Mecca, he got the realization at the same physical place where he stays.

And the director has picked jack fruit sapling, because it takes a very long time for the tree to grow before giving fruits. Here the person who planted the tree will not benefit from it because of the time constraint, but the character wants others to get benefited from this tree.

So all the struggle to mere go to a physical place to perform a ritual is not needed. By sticking to the principles, the realization can be attained at any place.

The tree part can also be seen in a different way

How ignorant it will be when a tree gives fruit and we don't accept it, thinking if we take the fruit the tree will get benefit of donating and the human will not. The tree's job is to give fruits and convey a subtle message of sharing to the humans. So in this movie if we see closely the character took help from the tree (He tried to sell it first), but after he got the message from the tree he is paying back the debt or transferring the knowledge to others instead of keeping it within him self by planting another tree. So getting help means not just human help, nature help also need to be considered and that help need to be paid back properly.

Very well said Muthu. You agian made it clear about the concept being conveyed. Any Energy we use, whether from people or nature or cosmos, everything is "Taxed" by the Cosmic Government. No way to escape that. "Tax" exemption is only for non-profit work (Selfless without any self-motive). All our rules are based on the Cosmic rules.
Yathe Pinade Thatha Brahmanade. This means as is the micro-cosm so is the macro-cosm. We can understand the Cosmic rules to understand and frame our rules or vice versa.

The beauty of this Cosmic system is that , it drives all of us into become the responsible part of the system (losing Self identity).
