1. Nourishing body through the whole and organic heirloom antioxidant-rich foods and avoiding processed and refined foods

2. Cleansing through Fiber, Water, Triphala

4. Energizing with breathing in and out

5. Connecting to source in form of selfless activity or doing donations to the Selfless social organizations are the five Pancha Karmas to be done in the pattern of Pancha Bhootas (Uni5)

Along with the above, consuming everyday stone ground moringa leaves, one or two garlic pods, sauteed with one teaspoon of castor oil and one tablespoon of ghee, black pepper, and sea salt is good. Soaking organic black urad dal and griding it to a paste and mixed with sahasradi oil few spoons and applying on the joints and then heat fomented with rice bran or black seeds for 7 days continuously and then repeating it after a gap 21 days (few rounds of this) is good.

To remove pain

Here is a traditional Ayurvedic oil ("Karpoorathi thailam") to relieve arthritic pain.

Sakthi Arthritic mix. We suggest the patients make a natural arthritic medicine.

Use organically produced for best results.

Ingredients:

One part of organic Turmeric powder (click here to know about Turmeric).

Three-fourth part organic ginger powder.

Half part organic curry leaves powder (click here to know about Curry Leaves).

Quarter part organic fenugreek seed powder (click here to know about Fenugreek).

One fifth part Ashwagandha (Withania somniferum) root powder.

PreparationYou can take one teacup as one part for turmeric, three-fourth cups of ginger root powder, half cups for curry leaves powder, and quarter cups for fenugreek seed powder, and one tablespoon of Ashwagandha powder. Mix and keep in a dry container. You can put it in a small container while traveling.

Consume one teaspoonful of the above Sakthi Arthritic mix, three times a day after food.   The powder can be put in the mouth and drink water to swallow it down. You can drink water to swallow quickly and avoid the slightly bitter taste.

The turmeric and ashwagandha and ginger powders will cause less inflammation in the body. The fenugreek absorbs the glucose, so the blood sugar level in the blood drops, indirectly causing less inflammation.  Curry leaves strengthen the bones and tendons. Do this for at least a month and let us know how you feel.

CleansingVery important is to cleanse the liver and intestines with Castor oil and Gallnut (cleansing)before starting the Pancha Bhoota and you can alternatively do the cleanse every two months (one-time castor oil, next time gall-nut cleansing).

Ginger Compression:  Ginger compression works with a lot of patients. The linked website has details on it. You can try a simple version till improvement. In this scientific research paper, they have reported a simpler version with an effect on some diseases.

Liver -Tonic Chutneys:

"Norunga thindraal nooru vayathu" is a Tamil proverb, which means if you chew your food well, then you live for hundred years.  When we chew the saliva mixes well with food and that well-chewed food feeds the good gut bacteria. This helps then to make the liver healthy and free from diseases. It is interesting that eating food in Yogic eating manner, many have lost weight, relieved of arthritic pain and many benefits like that.

Every day eat the following chutneys. One per day. Seven days seven chutneys and then repeat them. All leaves should be raw and not heat sauteed. But you can add coconut, red pepper, or black sesame seeds or split peas dal and salt to make it tasty.

  1. Coriander leaves chutney
    2.
    Phyllanthus Niruri leaves chutney
    3.
    Bringraj  leaves chutney
    4.
    Curry leaves chutney
    5.
    Coriander leaves chutney
    6.
    Mintleaves chutney
    7
Moringa leaves chutney or use Aloe Vera

Click here to see some model Chutney Recipesthat you can modify to make the above chutneys. You can eat this chutney with pasta, bread or with rice.

If you feel the chutney is bitter, then you can make it thick and make it as a small marble and swallow it with water. Make them small balls so that you do not choke yourself.

One Juice a day for seven days a week:

Drink these fresh juices, one a day, and repeat the seven every week. It is easy. Just cut and put in a blender with little water and dates if needed,
blend and drink. Dates increase Iron.

No bottled or canned. It should be made fresh and not filter it. Clear juices are free from fiber and so drink all juices with the pulp.

Fermented red rice and arthritis cure

https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC3117313/  In the case of arthritis, there is a method of cooking rice that appears to be very effective in helping musculoskeletal conditions. The method removes extra starch, increases vitamin content, and generally improves nutritional value, in such a way that arthritic conditions and several other classes of pathology seem to benefit considerably.

The method of preparation is simple and straightforward. First cook your rice with enough excess water, so that when the water remaining after cooking is drained off, any excess starch is removed with it. Instead of throwing this valuable starch solution down the drain, it is used constructively: half is offered to animals and plants, while the other half is inoculated with buttermilk and a pinch of fenugreek seeds - apparently because the strain of yeast that grows on fenugreek seeds is of particular value - and fermented overnight. The following day it is added to the pot in which the day’s rice is being cooked.

The value of this procedure is easy to understand. Firstly, the most soluble carbohydrates are removed from the rice, so sugar loading is decreased. Early stages of digestion of ingested material may be expected to cause less impact on blood glucose levels. Secondly, a decrease in the food’s Kapha content as a result of reduction of easily available carbohydrates decreases tendencies to constipation and improves elimination. Finally, the food’s added microbial content from the lactobacillus and yeast considerably increases its nutritional value.

This single procedure, therefore, has health-promoting and preventative value for many conditions. A decrease in sugar loading will reduce tendencies to obesity, insulin resistance, metabolic syndrome, and type 2 Diabetes. The reduction in Kapha and constipation will tend to improve long-term colon health, and all conditions involving ama, and amavata, such as the various forms of arthritis. Improved vitamin content from the lactobacillus and yeast (killed by the cooking) will help all conditions. I have extensive anecdotal evidence for all these kinds of benefits from adopting the procedure.

My grandmother never failed to use the above procedure when cooking the day’s rice, and our family enjoyed excellent health, but neither she nor the next generation understood the basis for its benefits. When she died, it ceased. Some years ago, seeking ways to improve health, I remembered her procedure, so I then adopted it, and have found it beneficial.

I recently recommended it to an elderly female friend, who had become bedridden from arthritis. Within two weeks of adopting it she was on her feet and able to do housework again. I then told two vaidyas about it, and after the wife had lost four pounds in ten days, they were sufficiently impressed to print a small pamphlet and distribute it among their patients. They received many reports of freedom from constipation, and feelings of lightness in the body that had developed over a similar time period.

Arthritis cure following uni5 testimony

Hello,

I was affected by arthritis in both my legs 6 months before. I couldn't walk and sit for a long time, It was very painful in the mornings. The pain was felt in both legs in the same place. It started in the knees and spread to Achilles, then to the heel and the toes, mostly around joints. I went to the local doctor and took all the blood tests. Blood test results neither showed any Rheumatoid factor nor Uric acid. But the symptoms were autoimmune (rheumatoid arthritis). They prescribed diclofenac sodium which reduced the pain. But the problem was, need to take it daily. If I stop taking the medicine then the pain will be back the next day. So I talked to uni5 and started following uni5 treatment for arthritis and stopped taking the pills.  Followed all 5 elements for 6 months. Starting with Ginger water, fermented brown rice, green chutneys, dates, and nut juice, took Triphala daily, did castor oil cleansing every month. Prepared and applied Karpoorathi thailam daily. My legs are back to normal after 4 months. I can walk normally now. I also took drumstick leaves daily and chukku, milaku, thippili with honey daily. The most important one was Ginger compression which was recommended on the uni5 website. It helped to reduce the pain drastically.  It took 6 months to completely cure naturally. I started running and also playing tennis regularly now. I highly recommended following the uni5 way of healing for arthritis. Thanks to Uni5 for the natural way of curing arthritis.

Bone Fracture

Puttur kattu (bandage) – A traditional bone setting practice in south India

To immobilize the area of injury, they tie up short pieces of bamboo sticks with a bandage. A sling around the neck is fixed and instructions to apply sesame oil on the bandage every day and advice to visit the clinic after 15 days is given to the patients. The patients are required to visit the bonesetter twice. Very rarely, the patient visits the bonesetter thrice. The second time, the medicinal herb is mixed with the white of egg and turmeric and applied in the affected area. The patient himself can remove the second bandage after 1 month at home. They are known to cure the fractures and dislocations of almost any part of the body including the backbone, skull, patella, ribs, clavicle, and nose. Sometimes, the patients are administered oral calcium and analgesic also. They take only 5–10 minutes for completion of all fracture and dislocation cases, but in case of compound fracture, they take more time for suturing the wound and putting the bone inside. They prepare the paste from a single herb that is collected from nearby places the previous day and use them fresh every day. They are not cultivating the plant although there is a high requirement but are totally dependent on wild growths.

The herb used for making paste for bandage is Kasamarda [latin name: Cassia accidentalis(Caesalpiniaceae); Telugu: Kasinda; Tamil: Ponnavirai, Nattam takarai; Sanskrit and Oriya: Kasamarda]. However, the specialty does not lie with the herb but with the skill in manipulating the bones and setting the alignment in the right order.
