https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/?term=Virechana

Method of Virechana Karma

Before administration of Go-Ghrita, all the registered patients were given Virechana. For this purpose, patients who met inclusion criteria and gave consent for the Virechana were administered Trikatu Churna for the first 3 days for Deepana and Pachana(stimulation of digestion) in the dose of 2 g twice in a day with lukewarm water after meal. On the 4th day, after assessing the status of the patients, Cow Ghrita[7] in the dose of 40 ml was given in the early morning on empty stomach with lukewarm water. The patients were observed forSneha Jeerna Lakhshana (proper digestion of Ghrita) and accordingly for the next 5–7 days, the dose of Ghrita was given in increasing pattern till the patients achieved proper Snehana (internal oleation) features. After completion of internal Snehana for the next 3 days, whole-body massage with Bala Taila along with Vashpa Swedana was done daily once in the morning.[8] During this period, patients were kept on a normal diet with precautions, to avoid excessive oil, or heavy food items. On the day ofVirechana, after massage and fomentation in the morning, Virechana Yogaof Haritakyadi Yoga was given.

Method of preparation of Haritakyadi Yoga

For the preparation of HaritakyadiYoga,[9] 18 g (each in same amount) of fine powder of Haritaki(Terminalia chebula Retz.), Saindhava (Rock Salt), Amalaki (Emblicaofficinalis Gaertn.), Vacha (Acorus calamus Linn.), Vidanga (Embeliaribes Burm. F.), Rajani (Curcuma longa Linn.), Pippali (Piper longumLinn.) and Shunthi (Zingiber officinale Rosc.) was taken. About 2 g ofGuda (jaggery) was added to it. To this half glass of water was added and heated until it was lukewarm. This was given to patients on empty stomach.

Thereafter, according to the type of Shuddhi, at the end of Virechanaprocedure, 3, 5 and 7 days of post-Virechana dietary regimen for revival were advised which included Peya (thin gruel of rice), Vilepi (thick gruel of rice), Akrita Yusha (nonprocessed soup of vegetables/pulses) and KritaYusha (processed with Ghrita, salt and pepper, soup of vegetables/pulses) in a sequential pattern.[10]

Good sleep is necessary for optimal health and can affect hormone levels, mood and weight. Sleep problems can be caused by various factors. Like, Physical disturbances, Medical issues (for example, asthma), Psychiatric disorders (depression or anxiety disorders or stress), Night shift work, aging, intake of certain medications, poor gut health/liver health can probably be the causes.

Pancha bhootha treatment for Sleeping Disorder

1.Earth Therapy:

1. Fiber-rich foods are tonic of liver. It gives less work for liver. It supplies nutrients and so makes the liver less tiresome. We recommend using fiber rich whole grains like brown rice (remember to soak in water and cook), whole rye flakes (33% fiber compared to 20% fiber in oats), whole wheat flakes (28%), barley flakes (26%). Millets like Ragi rich in fiber. In all ancient traditions, people had different types of grains and millets  many of the readers might be unaware of the names.  These millet varieties give different nourishment that help prevent many diseases like cardiovascular, diabetes, cancer etc.  millet, kodo-millet.Take organic whole grains which is unpolished (Raw)  and Non -gmo (Native varieties) eg Red rice ,Black rice ,Unpolished wheat etc..

2. Use Organic Cold Pressed and Non-gmo oils for cooking. Sesame oil ,Coconut oil ,A2 Ghee etc…

3. Use Jaggery or Palm sugar instead of white sugar

4. Intake of Organic Non GMO vegetables and fruits.ie,Native vegetables which are rich in fiber.

Liver -Tonic Chutneys:

Every day eat the following chutneys. One per day. seven days seven chutneys and then repeat them again. All leaves  should be raw and not heat saute. But you can add coconut, red pepper, or black sesame seeds or

split peas dal and salt to make it tasty.

1. Coriander leaves chutney

2. Phyllanthus Niruri leaves chutney

3. Bringraj leaves chutney

If you feel the chutney is bitter, then you can make it thick and make it as a small marble and swallow it with water. Make them small balls so that you do not choke yourself.

If you cannot afford fresh leaves, then get dried leaves and boil in water and drink the decoction.

 2. Triphala Powder - Strengthen Liver: Everyday night take one teaspoon of Triphala powder in 50 ml of hot water. (Please https://kapilanalam.com/ to find the link to buy this herb).

3. Eat different types of vegetables, grains, fruits leafy vegetables every day which will everyday cleanse the body and nourish the body. See Sakthi Kitchen for whole foods. Processed foods cause inflammation in the body and finally diseases. So use whole foods and fresh vegetables and fruits as your food. Try using organically grown foods that are free from pesticides and other chemicals. Use fresh foods instead of refrigerated and canned one's or frozen and microwaved. All these destroy the healing power of food.

We recommend using fiber rich whole grains like brown rice (remember to soak in water and cook), whole rye flakes (33% fiber compared to 20% fiber in oats), whole wheat flakes (28%), barley flakes (26%). Millets like Ragi rich in fiber. In all ancient traditions, people eat different types of grains and millets  many of the readers might be unaware of the names.  These millets give different nourishment that help prevent many diseases like cardiovascular, diabetes, cancer etc.  millet, kodo-millet.

Probiotics

Healthy Gut bacteria is really needed for preventing and cure any mental disorders. You will be amazed at how all the ancient civilizations had almost no mental disorders/diseases because of the fermented products they had. We strongly recommend doing that by eating everyday fermented rice and Indian homemade yogurt.

2.Water Therapy :

We generally recommend doing Water Therapy  to cleanse not only the intestines and  liver but the whole body. Drink 1.5 liters of water first thing in the morning, using mild amount of flavors like ginger, cumin seeds, mint leaves, cardamom, coriander seeds, Sarsparilla root powder, hibiscus flowers etc)  for better results.

Cleansing:

Gall Nut Cleansing: Before undergoing chemotherapy and radiation therapy, it is advisable to do gall-nut cleansing, followed by drinking homemade Indian yogurt, because it is scientifically proven that it is gut bacteria that determines the treatment effectiveness. This cleansing procedure sets right bacteria in the gut. Castor oil is more effective than gall-nut cleansing.

Castor Oil cleansing: Therefore one can do straight castor oil cleansing than doing gallnut cleansing. Once every month for 6 months and then could be done once every 3 to 4 months till life time to keep the gut bacteria good and free from cancer like diseases.

Super brain yoga: If you feel negative emotions, scared, anxious of the your health and worried about your life, then do super brain yoga.

If you feel negative emotions, scared, anxious of the your health and worried about your life, then do super brain yoga.

It is a simple exercise and so one could begin with Super Brain Yoga and then do  Surya Namaskar and for advanced level practices, one could do

Pancha Bhoota Yoga given in fire section.

Doing sun meditation  every day helps in overcoming depression. Do this sun gazing  every day which is a natural and very powerful way to overcome depression, and increases self confidence, overcoming fear, negative tendencies and having a positive attitude in life. The Sun is the source for all energy that we see on earth. Our body derives energy from the sun through plants. plants trap the sun's energy and store them as food which we and animals consume and derive energy.

Modern Science tells us that everything started with the Big-Bang which was initially in a light and energy form. That exploded into stars and Sun. That very energy is continuously coming to us in the form of Sunlight. The Cosmic energy is what our body is made up of and we are identifying and feel the greatness of our own Self and existence through this ancient ritual.

Sun meditation is a means to get that energy directly. At body level it increases Vitamin D and influences so many hormones producing glands like pineal gland and thyroid glands. Modern research proves the connection between Sunlight and depression.

4. Air therapy:

Breathe a sigh of relief

This is a simple breathing technique of getting away stress. Sit in a relaxed manner and start taking slow deep breaths through both nostrils alone (keep mouth closed) and then slowly release the air out through both nostrils. Then again repeat this process for 5 to 10 minutes if possible every 2 or 3 hours every day. With each observed breathing feel you are relieved from all stress and disease and you are healthy.

In normal daily activities be conscious of the breath  most of the time. Doing breath conscious while walking, working will benefit a lot.

Advanced users: For those who can do pranayama from a trained teacher, it will be better. Doing Pranayama  5 to 10 minutes in the morning and evening is good to prevent this disease again. .

Other Relaxation exercises to increase breathing:  Relaxation of the mind reduces stress and worries of health.

We recommend to do Uni5 Meditation to completely cure the disease.

Uni5 Meditation technique  is a very simple systematic self-guided means of transcending to the Self-Awareness. Using the five fingers, one can  self-remind the level of one's own Self-Awareness.

Thumb is the space element (Consciousness) that can flexibly touch the other four fingers as Air (Self-Awareness), Fire (Intelligence), Water (Mind) and Earth (body). Using the five fingers in Uni5 meditation (Consciousness/Aware Fullness/mindfulness), one can effortlessly be Conscious of the state of One-Self.

5.Space Therapy

At the psychological we get into depression because we are thinking for a long time small and insignificant about us. That depletes our inspiration. Inspiration comes when we think beyond our little body and mind. Just thinking wont help, it should be lived. The best way to live that is to practice Selfless service. This is the greatest medicine to cure depression. All clinical medications do provide temporary relief by increasing some brain chemicals.  Our suggestion is not to stop those medications for a while but view the problem and heal it in a holistic way.

Doing rituals and Selfless services like charity to improve luck energy.

Pitru pooja is highly recommended along with other rituals because it reduces traumatic thoughts in the mind. please check the below link to know the same.
