However busy we may be, we cannot compromise our professional time because without a job,  our financial energy that fuels all the comforts of life will go down.

We have already understood that this financial energy is one of the aspect of  Jeevadhara Sakthi or SAL Energy that we possess. Seldom we think about increasing this SAL energy, which will later lead to an uncomfortable  life style.

Navarathri  is a time we can focus for nine nights on increasing our own SAL energy through various rituals. Some rituals are done to increase revenue while others prevent unneccsary wasting of SAL energy.

Fasting, chantings and giving food to others increase SAL Energy. All these are emphasized on Navarathri days.

Reading or hearing or discussing the symbolism behind the stories connected with Navarathri will bring positve thoughts in us. Positive thoughts increase SAL energy which ultimately improve the quality of our life .

Devi Mahatmyam is usually read in this regard on Navarathri. In this blog every day we will give a nutshell of what to be contemplated every day.

First 3 days are spent on worshipping Durga. Worshipping means "identifying or connecting within ourselves". Durga is the force that propel our Tamasic nature  (inertia or resisting change) to rajasic nature or action-oriented nature.

This applies to our

1.young children who shows Tamas to study,

2. teenager nature of resisting to take seriousness in career

3, middle aged people  to take care of health

4. old people to buildup depleting SAL Energy.

Devi Mahatmyam says emphasizes the importance of lisenting nature (not hearing sense).

This is illustrated by the story in Devi Mahatmyam, which will be discuussed today evening. We will upload here the recodring of the talk (10 minutes talk) tonight.

We will update this page for the nine days, so visit every day. You are welcome to post comments or questions.
